The Stix Icehouse is my go to establishment to enjoy good times and good vibes. Very family friendly oriented place with many activities for kids to participate in outside and the staff has all the equipment on hand for them to use. The food is excellent and so is the service. Really feel at home every time I come here. The bartender Erica is my go to girl. She always provides top tier customer service and her energetic attitude is very infectious to those around her. I highly recommend you give this place a try if you have not. You won’t regret it!
What can I say about this place! I am blown away by how well decorated this place was and how great the service was not to mention how great the food was! Definitely coming back! Highly recommend! And don’t forget the 14 acres of land they have for you to play on.
What can I say? Great atmosphere plenty of seating I really enjoyed the food menu. Wide selection. Looks like it’s kid friendly although we just had lunch so couldn’t tell you what dinners are like. Service was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Don’t forget to browse the nostalgia on the walls. Lots of great music and Texas history. Plenty of parking. You will have a great time give it a try next time you’re in McKinney, TX.
Great place and great new experience in STIX Icehouse! Visiting from the Netherlands and building new memories! Warm welcome. Nice table indoor. Wide selection on the menu. Quick on our table. Place to remember and a dollar bill added on the wall!
It was my 1st time visiting, once you enter its seat yourself, which can be a bit scary for us from past experiences in other places. They have outdoor seating and kid friendly and pet friendly. We had a gentleman by thr name of Aj, greeted us with a smile and assured us he would be right with us. We ordered chicken fried steak, which was a big portion and delicious, my wife had the cheeseburger and she loved. We had some drinks and really enjoy our night and service. Aj definitely made it feel really amazing. Kept checking on us and made sure we were good. We can't wait to be back!!! See you soon AJ! Aj works Thursday-Sunday I believe. Ask for him!
A great spot for delicious comfort food that is also family friendly. Service was great and you're greeted as you walk in. A bustling atmosphere with music and plenty of TV's for sports. Food was good with plenty of options for any appetite. Prices were fair and ample parking. I'll definitely return..
Stix is a family favorite, we ❤️ everything about this place. Excellent food and drinks, fantastic patio, awesome employees. We love bringing visitors here. Best frito pie in Texas. Best chicken fried bologna sammich, too. And don’t skip the cobbler.
Now this a very fun place to be anytime of the day or week! Not only do they have so many fun things scheduled but even their seating and was so varied and mismatched that it had a quaint like-able ambience , like you are at a house party at your friend’s home! Everywhere you eyes go there are interesting things on the wall and ceiling with customer appreciation notes such to quite a few areas! Courtney , who waited on us was charming , courteous and genuinely happy to be doing what she is doing! She gave us a lay of huge space that is the Stix and also bout the events held here! We ordered the Poison Apple (drink of the month)) which was great fun ! And The Aluminum Cowboy glass of beer was cold and refreshing! We had ordered the Burger with blue cheese and the salmon with steamed veggies and mashed potatoes. Both were made fresh and prepared with care to make them both outstanding in taste and presentation. We plan to visit them sober the weekend and evenings to enjoys the events organized here
Came here for dinner during the holidays. The place is beautifully decorated and they had live music playing. Grabbed some holiday inspired drinks. Got the frito pie and it did not disappoint. Looks to have a great big outdoor area so will definitely be returning with our pups!
Our first time here at The Stix Ice House, and we loved it! Allan ordered chicken fried chicken, but they accidentally sent him a chicken fried steak. Stephanie the Manager, offered to bring him a new plate, but Allan hates to waste food, so he kept the chicken fried steak. He LOVED IT! He said the steak was an excellent quality meat and he was glad he kept it. Stephanie told him she would give him a discount, but when we received the ticket, she had comp'd the platter for him. Wow! And his platter was HUGE! His steak was so massive, we decided when we return, we're going to split one steak. I ordered chicken tenders & fries, with a side of gravy. The chicken tenders were BIG & the BEST tenders I've ever been served! They were juicy and delicious! Even though our dishes were big, (And we could only eat half of our order), we bagged the other half, and ordered the Cookie dessert. Two cookies in one order; andxwe always love a warm chocolate chip cookie! It had a drizzle of both chocolate & caramel syrup; and a big scoop of vanilla ice-cream on it! Sadly, since I was so full, I could only eat a couple of bites, so Allan ate the rest. He loved it. We've decided we're going back on a Friday night, when they have live music. The Stix Ice House is a fantastic restaurant and more! They have a game room with 2 pinball machines and a pool table. There is a big outside patio with rows of rockers, overlooking beautiful acres of property. Oh, and another plus: it's dog friendly - a true family place! I don't know about you, but restrooms "seal the deal" for me. Here, both the ladies, AND men's restrooms are VERY clean. Everything about The Stix Ice House was excellent, and we certainly look forward to going back!
